I just did this on my chalk painted espresso table. Just taped the wax paper to some piece of card stock and worked great.
Lauren, it should work on painted Wooden. Some people have experienced problems with how dark it comes out. I would just take a look at it first with a piece of scrap or an area that gained’t subject if it will get messed check here up. All printers are different! Good luck!
